Ohio University Lancaster celebrates nearly 9% in enrollment growth

google to invest billions more in data center operations in central ohio

Google is pouring another $2.3 billion into its three data center sites in central Ohio.

The tech giant announced the investments Tuesday morning at its data center on the city's Far South Side that was once the home of the historic Hartman Farm where construction continues.

The capital stack for a downtown Lancaster project is nearly finalized after the developer received a state incentive and was approved for a bank loan.

Urban Restorations was awarded a $2 million Transformational Mixed-Use Development tax credit for The Shumaker project at 219 N. Google to invest an additional $1.7 billion to support central Ohio data center operation

Search giant Google is building on its central Ohio presence, announcing Monday that it will spend an additional $1.7 billion this year to fill out its three data center campuses in the region.

The company already has invested $2 billion in the region since it broke ground for its data center in the region in New Albany in 2019.
